The famous Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova is from Nyagan, where she was born in 1987. Some time ago, Masha was the first racket of the world.

She was one of the top ten women who managed to become owners of the “career helmet”.  This means that she has won every Grand Slam tournament in her career.

Masha is very active in various advertising campaigns, and despite the recent doping scandal, is not going to finish with tennis.
